A nutrition coach for the kitchen you actually have

Most people already know they should eat better. The hard part is doing it with a real schedule, a real budget and a real family. Here is how a nutrition coach helps, and the two coaches who lead this work at Zajuga.

This page is not medical advice. Our coaches do not diagnose or treat health conditions. If you have a medical condition, allergies, or take medication, talk with your doctor before changing how you eat. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.

Food advice is everywhere. What is rare is help that fits your actual life. A truck driver eating from gas stations between deliveries. A nurse on twelve hour shifts grabbing whatever is in the break room. A warehouse worker on nights who sleeps through dinner. A parent cooking for three picky kids after a full day. An office worker who skips lunch, then eats whatever is fastest at nine at night.

Knowing what is healthy is the easy part. Living it is the hard part. A nutrition coach helps close that gap with tools, skills and habits that work in your kitchen, on your schedule, with your budget.

Information versus integration

One of our coaches describes her work as bridging the gap between information and integration. You can read every article and still eat the same way, because what is missing is not more information. It is a plan, a few skills and some support. That might mean learning a handful of simple meals you can cook fast, prepping food for a week of night shifts, or changing one habit at a time instead of everything at once.

What a nutrition coach can help with

  • Simple cooking skills that make healthy food faster than takeout.
  • Planning meals around shift work, long drives and busy family evenings.
  • Building habits one at a time, so changes last.
  • Understanding how what you eat connects to your energy, sleep and mood.
  • Getting the whole household on board, kids included.

Body is one circle of eight

At Zajuga we look at a life as eight circles: Spirit, Mind, Body, Family, Work, Money, Vault and Voice. Food lives in Body, but it touches the others. Work schedules decide when you eat. Money decides what you can buy. Family decides who you are cooking for. And for many people, food is tied to stress, comfort and memory, which is Mind and Spirit. That is why a nutrition coach looks at your whole life, not only your plate.

Food, fitness and community

Eating well is easier when you are not doing it alone. Our second coach on this page uses fitness as a training ground for life and hosts a platform that spotlights plant based chefs, entrepreneurs and wellness resources. Food, movement and community work best together.

Meet the coaches who lead this work

One teaches food as medicine in her clients’ own kitchens. The other builds strength, discipline and community, with food at the table.

How you can work with these coaches

Our coaches have partnered with Zajuga to lead webinars, onsites and retreats. You can meet them on ZajugaTV, free with an account, where they share what they know across all eight circles of life. Where a coach has a Coach Talk on ZajugaTV, the Watch link on their card above takes you straight to it. When your assessment points you to their area, you can join them live in a public webinar. Teams can bring them onsite. Our first public retreat is coming soon, and you can tell us you are interested.

Between those moments there is COCI, Zajuga's AI coach. You can talk to COCI by voice or text, any time, including on a break, in the truck, or after a late shift. COCI looks across all eight circles of your life and helps you take the next small step. You can start free.

Not medical advice, and not therapy

Zajuga is coaching. It is not medical care, nutrition therapy or therapy. Nothing on this page, from our coaches or from COCI, is medical advice. If you have a health condition, allergies or an eating disorder, or you take medication, please work with your doctor before changing how you eat. If you are ever in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.

Start with where the gap is widest

The free Gap Assessment is twenty one questions across the eight circles of your life, and it takes about three minutes. Sometimes Body is where to start. Sometimes the real reason meals fall apart is Work, Money or Family. Either way, you finish knowing in plain language where to begin.

Questions people ask

What does a nutrition coach do?

A nutrition coach helps you turn what you know about healthy eating into habits that fit your schedule, budget and family, with practical skills like simple cooking and meal planning. At Zajuga it is coaching, not medical advice.

Can a nutrition coach help with shift work?

Yes. Planning meals around nights, doubles, long drives and rotating shifts is one of the most practical things a coach can help with, because most food advice assumes a nine to five day.
